SELF-PROTECTION CLASSES
A self-protection class sponsored by Community Chest Foundation for young women between the ages of 17 - 22 will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2008 beginning at 7:00pm at Orion Wellness Center (located next to the Rogers Library at 21308 John Milless Drive, Suite 104). The class is FREE thanks to a grant provided by the Three Rivers Community Foundation. Pre-registration is required; limit 25. Sign up by visiting the Orion Wellness Center.

Attendees will learn common-sense tips for routine activities, practice self-protection techniques and discuss real-life situations to bring awareness to everyday occurrences. The class will be taught by a law enforcement professional and run about two hours. Self-protection items, such as pepper spray and small flashlights will be available at a reasonable price.

FUTURE SELF-PROTECTION CLASSES
Thanks to the generous grant provided by the Three Rivers Community Foundation, Community Chest Foundation will be sponsoring a series of self-protection classes. In addition to the session for young women there will also be one for working women, mothers with young children, and senior citizens. Watch for details coming soon!
