ABOUT COMMUNITY CHEST FOUNDATION

Community Chest Foundation was formed in 2006 by a dedicated group of citizens committed to giving back to their community. 501c3 status was granted in February of that year and the team has been working towards educating, serving and supporting residents since.

Since that time the group has assisted with a variety of community projects and awarded multiple scholarships. The organization continues to strive to understand the needs of the area to better provide support for its residents.

The organization was awarded a grant by the Three Rivers Community Foundation to facilitate self-protection classes for high school girls, moms with young children, senior citizens and working women. These trainings have been offered to a few groups and will continue to be offered over time. Notice will be provided to encourage participation. We thank the Rogers Police Department for partnering with the Community Chest Foundation on this project to make it a reality!

In August of 2008, the Community Chest Foundation also partnered with the City of Rogers in hosting the Rogers Police/Fire Open House. The event entertained about 3,000 people who donated 2800 pounds of food to the CROSS food shelf. $2100 from the event was donated to the local schools to assist in areas with shoftfalls.
